Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to thank you for being part of this incredible art journey with me! Your support and creativity inspire me every day, and I appreciate it more than you know.
Stepping outside to see the most stunning sunsets and sunrises is when I feel most abundant and grateful. It's just pure beauty. Sometimes, I want to grab my paints immediately, but instead, I just spend 20 minutes soaking in the colors as they change so quickly. That’s why I take so many photos, hoping to turn them into watercolor sketches of my favorite skies someday.
Last year was truly remarkable for me, my family, and my art business. I spent New Year’s Day journaling and reflecting on the highlights of 2024.
I’ve been inspired by Mel Robbins for years, and in one of her latest podcasts she suggests reflecting on the past year before jumping into the new one—what worked, what didn’t, and what you want to do differently. If you have some time, I highly recommend listening and journaling your thoughts. You might uncover some surprising insights!

Travel was such a big part of 2024, and I can’t wait to explore even more beautiful places this year. I just wrote a blog post about one of the highlights of 2024 which was teaching sketching on board the Ritz-Carlton yacht, crossing from Tenerife to Barbados.
Daily sketching has also become an essential part of my creative and meditative practice. About seven years ago, I completed a flower-a-day challenge for an entire year. That led to many incredible opportunities and product designs so this year, I’m revisiting that idea, not as a challenge, but as a gentle daily habit.
Last year, my word was Shine, and it was perfect for 2024. This year, I’ve chosen Flourish: “to thrive in a healthy or successful way.” It reflects my personal and professional goals beautifully! I love that it encompasses everything while feeling good and growing at the same time. YES!
