WATERCOLORS IN BLOOM Art Supply List
Suggested Art Supply List, Extras + Options!

Please know that it is not my intention for you to purchase all the supplies! You may have a lot of these already, and I suggest that you use your favorites supplies on hand. And, always stay true to the colors that you love. All my lessons can easily be done in a color palette of your choosing. I am listing options for supplies as well – some are more expensive than others so I want to make sure you know that there are different brands out there for the same thing.

Watercolor Paints - Options
Pick colors that you love. I am using a variety of watercolor paints so you can see the differences between brands and types. You only need one kind and then a couple of bottles of liquid watercolors in your preferred colors.
Pan Sets:
Good, and affordable watercolor sets by Prima Watercolor Confections. I use the Tropicals.

Wildthorne - boutique artisan maker in Santa Cruz

Liquid Watercolors:
Ecoline (I am using Turquoise 661 and Fuchsia 350 or a starter set
Dr. Ph Martins Hydrus (I am using Hansa Yellow, Phthalo Blue, Quinacridone Magenta (I prefer the Ecoline Fuchsia)

Watercolors (tube):
I am using a variety of colors in Mijello Mission Gold - this is a great set.

Watercolor Paper
You can either use (1) 22x30 sheet of watercolor paper for all the lessons or get one watercolor pad. It's your choice.
I prefer Fabriano paper, but Arches is also a great brand too. Hotpress is smooth (which I prefer), and cold press has more texture to it.

Watercolor Block Pads
Fabriano hot press 140lb (9x12 pad) or Arches hot press 140lb (10x14 pad)
Student Grade (more affordable) Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor Pad

Bristol paper I used for Lesson 2 (or hotpress watercolor paper is just fine)

Assorted Brushes
I mix my acrylic and watercolor paintbrushes up all the time, but I tend to use Kingsart brushes a lot and will be using the Original Gold and the Finesse series. You just need a variety of sizes in small and medium, round and angled.

Mixed Media Supplies
